Takes the Stone
No doubt you'll find that my friends page is abuzz with info about last night's curling adventure. If this is not the case, then I'll be populating other pages with it, just so I'm not a liar.

Last night was the first of four curling classes. It was pretty nifty. 14 students all gathered up in the Norwalk Curling Club main room. We watched a little video (the same one as in the open house) and then headed out on the ice. Once we got to the ice... it was time for a montage. (Cue Music "Eye of the Tiger").

- Learning how to follow the "Skip's" handsigns to curve the shot
- Taking 2x42 pound stones (one in each hand) and sliding out onto the ice
- Taking one stone and a broom, and sliding out on the ice
- Taking a stone and a broom, and pushing off full blast onto the ice, hoping to skid all the way to the other end.

- Sliding and releasing the stone to get through a narrow set of cups on the ice.
- Sweeping the Ice
- Running alongside a rock sweeping
- Falling dramaticly (One of our crew landed so hard, he divotted the ice... Awesome).
- Running around and sliding everyplace.

Wooooo! I mean, if that doesn't get your blood pumping, you'd better call an ambulance.

In other news... Al just unloaded into the boss's kids as they walked past... Oh nerftastical.

Mad Science Ideas
- Hooking up a Solenoid to a pair of nine volt batteries, to power the pump on my nerf gun.
- Still thinking about hooking one (or two) up to power the trunk latch on the big scoot
- building an air cannon out of an old coffee can.

Things I "gots ta do" this weekend
- Auto Oil Change
- Scooter Oil Change
- Get outside and cook something on a fire

Other things that I ~should/could~ do
- Gardening
- Finish raking the lawn
- Actually make good on my intent to hang with ski
- Visit Gaming Day at Marist (possibly win another totally awesome prize).
- Get Tool to pick out a helmet, so I can terrify her on the back of the Scoot
